Refund policy

We want you to be sure about your knife. If it is not right for you, you have 30 days to send it back.

30-day returns

You may return any item within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange, provided it is unused, undamaged and in its original condition with its sheath, box and papers. "Unused" means the edge has not been used, sharpened or modified and the handle and sheath show no wear.

Items that cannot be returned for change of mind

  • Engraved or personalized items (engraving on the blade, the sheath or the handle, or any bespoke specification) cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive defective or not as ordered.
  • Used or sharpened items.
  • Care kits and consumables once opened.

Items that arrive defective, damaged or not as described are always accepted, whatever the personalization.

Defects: replaced free

If your knife arrives with a defect (for example a gap at the bolster, loose pins, a sheath that does not retain the knife, or damage in transit), contact us within 30 days with a photo. We will send a prepaid return label and either replace the item free of charge or refund you in full, your choice. After 30 days, faults in the forge welds or the handle fit are covered by our Limited Lifetime Warranty.

How to start a return

  1. Email support@crownridgeknives.com with your order number and the reason for the return. We reply within one business day with a prepaid return label and instructions.
  2. Sheath the knife, pack it in its original box (or a sturdy box with padding), and attach the label.
  3. Drop it off with the carrier named on the label. Keep the receipt.

Please do not return an item without contacting us first; unannounced returns can be delayed.

Return shipping costs

  • Defects, damage or our mistake: return shipping is free and we refund every cent you paid, including any original shipping charge.
  • Change of mind: we still send you a prepaid label for convenience; the flat $9 cost of that label is deducted from your refund. Original shipping charges, if any, are not refunded.

Refunds

Once your return arrives and passes inspection (usually within 3 business days of receipt), we issue the refund to your original payment method. Banks and card issuers take a further 5 to 10 business days to post it. We will email you at each step.

Exchanges

To exchange for a different handle, size or model, start a return as above and tell us what you would like instead. We will ship the replacement as soon as the return is on its way back, so you are not left waiting.

Gifts

Gift recipients may return an item within 30 days of delivery for store credit or an exchange. Refunds to the original payment method go to the purchaser.
