Full Tang Knives
A full tang knife has one piece of steel running from the tip through the whole handle, with no pinned or bolted joint to fail, and every knife in this collection is built that way. Blades run 3 to 18 inches, priced from $99 to $619; most are pattern-welded Damascus, the rest forged carbon steel.

About Full Tang Knives
Why are full tang knives better?
A full tang blade has no joint where it could work loose from the handle under a baton strike or a twisting cut, and the steel running the length of the grip balances the knife in hand. The trade-off is weight: a full-tang knife runs heavier than a folding or hidden-tang blade of the same length, and the extra steel and shaping raise the price.
What is a full tang knife used for?
Full tang construction suits batoning firewood, field dressing and skinning game, and any cut that puts side load on the blade. The lineup covers hunting knives, Bowie knives and camp and bushcraft knives, most with a Crownridge leather belt sheath.
